Meet our Founder
The Heart Behind Sunny Bear Rescue.
Meet Jay, the founder who turned his passion for rescuing dogs into a loving company helping dogs and people everywhere.
I’ve always had a deep connection with dogs. Not just as pets, but as family. Over time, that connection grew into something bigger as I became more aware of how many incredible dogs are out there—waiting, overlooked, and in need of a second chance.
What began as helping a few dogs turned into something much larger.
I founded Sunny Bear Cares to create a sustainable way to support dog rescue efforts—not just through donations, but through a brand that people can be part of every day. The idea was simple: build something meaningful that generates ongoing funding and real impact for dogs in need.
Every product we create—whether it’s grooming essentials, supplements, or merchandise—is designed with that mission in mind. This isn’t about one-time giving. It’s about building a long-term engine that helps rescues continue their work, supports adopters, and ultimately saves more lives.
That mission is deeply personal to me.
I’ve seen firsthand the difference that rescue organizations make, and I’ve also seen how much more help is needed. Sunny Bear Cares exists to bridge that gap—to connect people who love dogs with a tangible way to make a difference.
This is just the beginning.
The long-term vision is something we call Sunny Bear Village—a place where rescue, care, community, and purpose all come together. A space built around giving dogs a better life and giving people a way to be part of that journey.
At the end of the day, everything we do comes back to one idea:
You don’t have to do everything to help a dog.
You just have to care.
