Sunny Bear Whiskey Co. was born from a simple idea: create exceptional bourbon while making a real difference in the world. Our founders, Jay Abrams and Dave Cohen, combined their two greatest passions—craft distilling and animal rescue—to build something truly special.


Today, every bottle we produce carries that same spirit of compassion and dedication. We've stayed true to Jay and Dave's original vision: make the best whiskey possible, and use that success to save lives.

What’s Inside the Bottle

Crafted From the Ground Up Our bourbon starts with a purposeful mash bill: 60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley. That high-rye profile gives Sunny Bear a bolder edge—balanced by the sweetness of corn and finished with the subtle depth of malted barley. It’s a whiskey built with intention: approachable, distinctive, and full of flavor.
